NEW DAY. MORNING.

SPECIAL GUEST STAR: Patrika Darbo as Sharlene Morris

At Finders/Keepers, in Margo and Katie’s Shared Office, Katie is sitting behind her desk. She is talking on her office phone.

KATIE: (over the phone) Margo, I understand why you had to go with Tom. And, don’t worry about anything. I can take care of the interview with Tobias’ sister. Tell Tom I said that I am thinking of him. Alright. I’ll let you go now. Bye.

As Katie hangs up, there is a knock at the office door. Katie stands.

KATIE: Come in!

Sharlene, Tobias’ enters the room. Katie goes to her.

KATIE: Hi. You must be Sharlene.

SHARLENE: I am. Hello.

KATIE: Hi. Thank you for coming. Can I get you anything?

SHARLENE: Coffee if you have it.

KATIE: (smiling) I do.

SHARLENE: Um...before you do get me that, I just want to say ‘thank you.’ Thank you for trying to get me answers in my brother’s murder. That means a lot.

KATIE: We will make sure your brother gets justice. That is our main mission. And, I will not rest till this PI company gets justice for him.

SHARLENE: Thank you. Thank you.
---

At Marcus and April’s Apartment, in the Living Room, April is on the phone. She is also sitting on the couch.

APRIL: (on the phone) Thank you very much for searching for a good apartment for my brother and I. I appreciate it. Alright. Bye.

As April hangs up, Marcus enters.

MARCUS: Hey.

APRIL: (standing/going to him) Hey.

MARCUS: Who was that?

APRIL: A realtor.

MARCUS: Why were you speaking to a realtor?

APRIL: Because, we need to move.

MARCUS: Why do we need to move?

APRIL: Oakdale isn’t working for us. And, the longer we stay here, the more dangerous it becomes to stay here.

MARCUS: When do you think we should move?

APRIL: Right away.

MARCUS: What do you mean by right away?

APRIL: I mean tonight!
---

At Java Underground, Emily is sitting at a corner table. She is having a cup of coffee and talking on her cell phone.

EMILY: (on the phone) Hi, Dusty. It’s me Emily. Look, I just want to say ‘thank you’ for your generous donation. I just received it in the foundation’s bank account. Again, thank you. Alright, bye.

As Emily hangs up the phone, she looks up to see Diego standing over her.

DIEGO: Hello, Emily. I overheard your conversation.

EMILY: I bet you did.

DIEGO: What is your foundation about?

EMILY: It is about helping those who have been violated sexually. And, I started it because of what you did to me.

At the Snyder Farm, in the Living Room, as Carly enters the room, there is a knock at the door. She then walks over to the door.

CARLY: (opening the door) Hey, sis. This is a lovely surprise.

ROSANNA: Hey. Do you mind if I come in?

CARLY: Not at all. Come right in.

As Rosanna enters, Carly shuts the door. Carly then turns around.

CARLY: (going to her) So, what brings you by?

ROSANNA: Um...we need to talk.

CARLY: Okay. What about?

ROSANNA: There is something that I need to reveal to you.
---

At Betsy’s Penthouse, in the Living Room, Betsy is looking out one of the living room windows. She is talking on her phone and drinking a cup of coffee.

BETSY: (on the phone) Jack, did you get the evidence that I sent you? Good. I’m happy it was delivered to you very quickly. Let me know what happens. Thanks. Bye.

As Betsy hangs up the phone, Steve enters. Betsy turns around.

STEVE: Good morning.

BETSY: (going to him) Morning.

STEVE: Who was that on the phone?

BETSY: Commissioner Jack Snyder.

STEVE: Why were you talking to Jack?

BETSY: Because, I decided to turn over evidence that Diana was planning to drug you. Today, will be Diana’s day of reckoning.
---

At Java Underground, Diego sits across from Emily.

EMILY: I didn’t say that you could sit down. And, since you know what my foundation is about, maybe you shouldn’t sit with me.

DIEGO: Emily, I have paid for what I did to you. I’ve realized what I did to you was a horrific thing. I can’t even begin to apologize enough.

EMILY: First of all, you haven’t even begin to pay after all these years. And, you are apologizing for horrific things you’ve done to me? Where is the apology for holding my husband hostage?

DIEGO: I know the things that I have done are absolutely disgusting. But, I want to change. I really do. I am willing to give your foundation one million dollars.

EMILY: I’m gonna be real with you for a moment. I think it was nice of you to say just now that you want to give a million dollars to my foundation. However, you are a former rapist. And, I can’t even begin to tell you how disgusting it would be for me to accept money from a rapist. Let alone my rapist. And, you are so sick for even offering considering your history. Don’t ever come to me again with an offer. And, stay away from my charitable work.

Emily collects her things and barges out of the coffee house.
---

Back at Finders/Keepers, in Margo and Katie’s Shared Office, Katie sits behind her desk. Sharlene sits across from her. The two women both have coffee in front of them.

KATIE: Do you mind if I record this meeting?

SHARLENE: Not at all. Go ahead, dear.

Katie gets out a tape recorder and presses RECORD.

KATIE: Just act natural. Sharlene, I’m just gonna come right out and say it. Why do you think April and Marcus murdered your brother Tobias?

SHARLENE: Well, for starters, Tobias was very healthy. Even though he was 75 years of age, he still kept up with his life. Age was just a number to him. He exercised, had a healthy diet, and still had an active imagination. But, then, he decides that one day he is going to take too much of his heart medication? My brother had, had a heart issue for decades. He knew when and when not to take those pills. He knew how much to take. Hell, he could even say all the names of those pills he was taking off the top of his head.

KATIE: The police ended up saying that at his age he might’ve been confused. Even though you said he would never become confused about how much of his medication to take, is it possible he might’ve slipped up just once?

SHARLENE: No. That is not possible.

KATIE: Do you really think April and Marcus Scott could’ve done this?

SHARLENE: Without-a-doubt!
---

At the Snyder Farm, in the Living Room, Carly reenters the room. She is holding two cups of coffee. She comes around the couch and hands a mug to Rosanna. Carly then sits next to her on the couch.

ROSANNA: Thank you.

CARLY: No problem. So, you said that you have something to reveal to me? What is it, sis? What’s going on?

ROSANNA: I went for a check-up at the hospital one day. Lately, I’ve been having headaches. In fact, the worst ones I’ve ever had in my life. So, I let my doctor run multiple test on me.

CARLY: And…?

ROSANNA: I have a brain tumor.

CARLY: Wh...what? You...you...have a tumor?

ROSANNA: Yes.

CARLY: (putting her mug down) Oh my god. Honey, I’m so sorry.

Rosanna sets down her mug. Carly then hugs Rosanna.

CARLY: (coming off the hug) How are you feeling right now?

ROSANNA: Today’s been a good day actually. I haven’t had a headache today. That must mean my meds are doing their job.

CARLY: Good. Good. I’m glad they’re working. Rosanna, how come you didn’t come to me with this news sooner?

ROSANNA: I didn’t want to worry you with this.

CARLY: You are my sister. You can worry me 24/7. Have you told Dusty?

ROSANNA: Yeah. I delivered the news to him last night.

CARLY: Good. I’m glad that he knows. So, what’s next? How do the doctors at Memorial plan to fight this thing? How are they going to get this tumor out of you?
---

Back at Marcus and April’s Apartment, in the Living Room, April sets her cell phone down on the coffee table.

APRIL: So, you asked me when we move. Does that mean that you are going to agree to move somewhere else with me?

MARCUS: I have to. We have to stick together.

APRIL: That’s right. We do.

MARCUS: I never even fully unpacked my things.

APRIL: Same here.

MARCUS: Look, if you wanna get out of here as quick as you say you do, then I will start packing up things that we have unpacked already tonight.

APRIL: Great. I am gonna go quit my job.

MARCUS: Sounds good.

APRIL: (collecting her things) Seya later.

MARCUS: Seya.

April then exits the apartment, shutting the door behind her.
---

Back at Betsy’s Penthouse, in the Living Room, Betsy walks past Steve. He turns around. She takes a sip of her coffee and sets it down on the couch’s side table.

STEVE: You’re getting charges pressed against Diana?

BETSY: Damn right I am.

STEVE: Are you sure this is the right thing?

BETSY: Absolutely. Don’t you?

STEVE: Yeah. I just want her out of our lives.

BETSY: And, I do to. At least this way she can get pushed out of our lives for good. I just want her gone. And, that is my mission.

STEVE: Well, I am here to help.

BETSY: Good. Because, without you, there’s no case. So, let’s take her down.

The camera zooms in on Betsy’s smiling face.
