NEW DAY. MORNING.

At the Oakdale Catholic Church, Lucinda is in a spare room. Lily is helping her to finish getting ready, for her wedding.

LUCINDA: I can’t believe that in a few short hours, I will become Mrs. Lucinda Dixon.

LILY: Again.

LUCINDA: Hahaha, you are very funny. And so not the first to make that joke.

LILY: Always late on those jokes, aren’t I?

LUCINDA: Yes, dear.

LILY: (laughs) I’m happy you are letting me share so closely in this, with you.

LUCINDA: Honey, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

LILY: Now, before we get into that dress of yours, I have a surprise.

LUCINDA: You have a surprise for me?

LILY: I do. Be sure to close your eyes.

LUCINDA: Okay.

Lily walks to the door. Sierra walks in, and Lily shushes her.

LILY: Alright mom, open.

LUCINDA: Oh my god, can this be? Am I dreaming?

SIERRA: No, mom, you are not dreaming. I’m home.

LUCINDA: This makes me so happy.

Lucinda embraces both of her girls.

LUCINDA: I love you both, so much!
---

In the main entrance of the church, Carly enters. She is spotted by Jack. She stands still for a moment, but then goes to him.

CARLY: Hello, Jack.

JACK: Hi, Carly.

CARLY: I have to say, the church looks beautiful.

JACK: It really does.

CARLY: So, where’s Victoria?

JACK: She’s away on a business trip.

CARLY: Is that what she told you?

JACK: What do you mean by that?

CARLY: See, I know Victoria well enough by now, to know that she isn’t away on some business trip. She’s probably sleeping with half the men in New York, for all we know.

Carly grabs a glass of sparkling cider.

CARLY: Here’s to her reaching a coveted new number of men she has slept with.

Carly sips lightly.
---

Back at Oakdale Catholic Church, John is buttoning his shirt, in a spare room.

There is a knock at the door.

JOHN: Come in!

Holden enters.

JOHN: Hey, Holden.

HOLDEN: Hey, John.

JOHN: What brings you by?

HOLDEN: Well, Lily is talking to her mother, here soon your wife. So, I just thought I would swing by your room, and wish you happiness with Lucinda.

JOHN: Oh, well thank you. That is very kind.

HOLDEN: No problem. Of course. But, we need to discuss something.

JOHN: What do we need to discuss?

HOLDEN: If you are ever going to break Lucinda’s heart, again.

---

At the Oakdale Police Department, Emily, Barbara, Margo, and Betsy enter. A group of reporters is following behind them.

REPORTER #!: Emily, why did you shoot Diego?

REPORTER #2: Why was Paul kidnapped?

REPORTER #3: Betsy, what was this drug operation you were caught up in?

As Emily, Barbara, and Betsy walk into Margo’s office, Margo turns around.

MARGO: You are in my police station. And, if you have exactly ten seconds to leave my police station. There will be no comments made at this time.

The reporters sigh, as they all have to leave. Margo lets out a sigh, herself. She then goes into her office.

In Margo’s Office, Emily is sitting on the couch. Betsy and Barbara on pacing. Emily is pacing, and completely motionless.

MARGO: Barbara, Betsy, will you please give Emily and I sometime alone?

BARBARA: Yeah. Sure. I could use some coffee.

BETSY: Me too.

Margo goes to the couch, and takes a seat, as Barbara and Betsy exit.

MARGO: (sighs) Emily…, I need to ask you some question.

Emily remains silent.

MARGO: Emily…we need to talk about Diego. We need to discuss his new face, your past with him, and why you shot him.

Emily remains silent. Deep in her thoughts. She then has a flashback.

(FLASHBACK)

MARGO: Emily…

EMILY: What?! (sighs) I’m sorry. Sorry, Margo. I’m just...I’m all out of sorts.

MARGO: Where were you just now?

EMILY: I was thinking of what that monster did to me.

MARGO: Emily, are you telling me that you shot Diego, because you still can’t get over what he did to you, all those years ago?

OUTSIDE OF THE MARGO’S OFFICE:

Barbara and Betsy are getting a cup of coffee at a machine.

BETSY: Any news from the doctors about Paul?

BARBARA: I actually got a call from Susan not too long ago. She wanted to call me, before she went off to John and Lucinda’s wedding.

BETSY: And…?

BARBARA: And, things look good. Now, enough about Paul being “a-ok”. We need to talk. Right here. Right now.

BETSY: What’s up?

BARBARA: What’s up? Betsy, you let that monster back into our lives. You tell me what’s up.
---

Back at the Oakdale Catholic Church, Carly and Jack go over to a corner, by the main entrance. Carly grabs another glass of sparkling cider.

JACK: You need to stop.

CARLY: Jack, I’m just trying to tell you the truth.

JACK: God, you know what you sound like?

CARLY: What do I sound like?

JACK: Like you’ve been drinking.

Carly stares deep into Jack’s eyes.

(FLASHBACK: EPISODE 16)

DUSTY: Carly?

CARLY: (snapping out of it) Yeah?

DUSTY: Are you okay?

CARLY: No, not really. Not at all.

DUSTY: Carly, tell me the truth?

CARLY: (sniffles) I was drunk.

(FLASHBACK ENDS)

As Carly snaps out of her flashback, her glass drops from her hands.

JACK: Carly? Carly?

CARLY: Oh god. Sorry. Jack, I’ll get someone.

JACK: It’s okay. I can clean it up. I just need to know one thing.

CARLY: What?

JACK: Are you okay?

Carly stares on.

BACK IN JOHN’S CHANGING ROOM:

John is slicks back his hair.

JOHN: Holden, I am in this for the long haul. Lucinda and I talked about this whole thing, when we were picking out our cake. We are both prepared to spend the rest of our lives with one another.

HOLDEN: That makes me happy. And, many people happy. Lily actually wanted me to check with you about this. She just wants her mother to be happy.

JOHN: I know why. All I want is for Lucinda to be happy.

HOLDEN: Good. I’m glad to hear that.

JOHN: So, shall we head to the sanctuary?

HOLDEN: Yes.

JOHN: Good.

John and Holden exit the changing room.
---

Back at Oakdale Police Department, Barbara and Betsy walk over to a bench.

BETSY: Barbara, this was not my fault.

BARBARA: How was it not, Betsy? This guy came here because of you.

BETSY: Diego had Oakdale on his map, way before he met me.

BARBARA: Yes, he did. Oakdale went through dark times, because of him. And, now, those dark times have returned.

BETSY: Yes, they have.

BARBARA: I remember the day it came out in the papers that Kirk Anderson had shot Diego. We all thought he was dead. We all had a sigh of relief. But, now, he’s back. He kidnapped my son. God knows what will happen next.

BETSY: Let’s just hope Emily got further with that second bullet.

BARBARA: Amen.

BACK IN MARGO’S OFFICE:

Margo and Emily are standing, now.

EMILY: Margo, I think about Diego assaulting me, everyday. And, I’m sure that you think about your attacker, as well.

MARGO: I do. I truly do.

EMILY: I shot Diego as a gut reaction. This man tortured me, Lily, and a whole lot of other people for so long. Now, he is back. And, everyone wants me to fall in line, and everyone wants me to be okay with him being alive.

MARGO: Emily, of course we don’t expect you to be okay with this. None of us are okay with this. I can promise you that.

EMILY: (sighs) Margo, what am I supposed to do, now?

MARGO: Emily, when you were attacked, who did you come to?

EMILY: You.

MARGO: Exactly. Emily, I protected you from Diego all those years ago. I will do it again. I will not let him hurt you.

EMILY: Thank you, Margo.

Margo and Emily embrace.

MARGO: You are a strong woman, Emily Stewart. Diego doesn’t know what he has gotten himself into, by coming back here.
---

Back at Oakdale Catholic Church, in Lucinda’s Changing Room, Sierra hands Lucinda her bouquet of white roses.

LUCINDA: I can’t believe that we are just minutes away from me walking down that aisle. I’m kind of nervous.

SIERRA: Do you wanna run away?

LILY: Don’t give her any ideas.

They all laugh.

SIERRA: Are you ready, mom?

LUCINDA: I am. I really am.

LILY: Then, let’s get you down that aisle.

LUCINDA: I have a feeling that this day is going to be perfect.

As Lily, Lucinda, and Sierra begin to exit the room, Lucinda smiles.

IN THE BASEMENT OF THE CHURCH:

The camera pans all throughout the basement.
In a small corner, a bomb is counting down.
